Great location, 5 minute walk to Quaysie, 15 minutes to city centre and train station. Hotel looked fresh and modern. Public areas pleasant and clean. Room was spotless, large and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and staff lovely. Parking for around 30 cars on site, payable at £8.50 per day which is ok

Amazing location. View of the river Tyne right outside of our bedroom window. A lovely walk over the Millennium Eye and we were in the hub of the city. The Hotel was super clean, very comfortable room. The bathroom was functional with clean towels and adequate shower was and shampoo. The check in and out was simplified online. Dining room breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we have experienced in a long time. Well done, we will be back.

Stayed for 2 nights,to celebrate being old. The hotel is really clean and tidy as was our room (443). The staff was good, didn't have a problem. There is a couple of things to be aware of. The first thing. Make sure you check in at the right hotel, there is 2 Leonardo's in the area. We made the mistake of going to the one near multi storey carpark,. And got a bit worried cos they couldn't find us on thrir booking list. This hotel is on the quayside, with a 15 mins walk into Newcastle or a 15 mins walk into Gateshead. The other thing to be wary of is the carpark. Only holds about 20 cars,so if you go out your parking spot might be gone. But there is a road down the side with one single yellow line, which you can park at just have to make sure you move it before 8am. The meals are expensive and not really much choice on menu. That said would come back to this hotel

Received a warm welcome from the staff on reception and were given a room overlooking the river. The room was clean, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a varied hot & cold buffet style & was regularly replenished. The evening meal was disappointing, with 2 of the more popular items not available. Although it's title is Leonardo's Quayside, Newcastle, its actually in Gateshead. On that side of the river there wasn't any nearby hostelries but if you were able, you could over the Millenium Bridge to the Newcastle side where there was more activity. Also there was good local bus route into the center of Newcastle or Gateshead, a short walk away & good taxi services. I would stay again and recommend.

Had a great stay here. Two nights, Sat, Sun. Upgraded the bed for an extra £10 per night, should have been a kingsize bed, but it was a super king. Great location, a walk over the Millennium bridge and up the road for the shops. Good breakfast, could be warmer. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.

Huge comfy bed in a large, clean room (Only gripe was hard pillows). Lots of extra touches too. The staff were all lovely and the whole place felt welcoming. The food at breakfast was hot and delicious. Will be our go to hotel in Newcastle when visiting family. Highly recommended.

Stay was great, room clean although really needed a good refurb. Headboard was very worn, bath panel needs replacing. Customer service was good at the hotel but I emailed twice beforehand and got no response. Also tried to call, was on the phone a few seconds and got charged 52p!! Not great service when I had queries about my stay.

This seemed to be reasonably priced compared to other hotels in Newcastle and it's only a short walk over the millennium bridge to the quayside at Gateshead. It's worth paying a little extra for a river view. The common areas are really nice. Reception were really pleasant and helpful.. The standard room I had was absolutely fine. Almost four star but not quite as it's a while since the bathroom was decorated - but overall absolutely fine.
